The Seaside

I wish I was near the seaside
Where the clouds barely cry
And sun rays hum and dance
When I’m here, your love leaves me in a trance

I wish I could live by the seaside
Counting the clouds as we ride
Sitting in the sun while the ocean sprays
And here we lay; happiness will remain in our days

I wish this soul dwell to the seaside
Sometimes the sun hides
And as I take in that sweet sea-salt wind, as it blends and bends
I remind myself even if the light is gone; I still have something of a friend

I hope this mind can imagine the seaside
Where the hope of being me glides
And how the sun is gleaming through the water in my glass
I hope that this love will forever last…

I wrote this poem to show that I can be flexible in my writing because i like to write dark and depressing subjects. I felt like I did well but not as good as my other poems...
